How Do You Change Your Google Voice Number

The Google Assistant started out with just one vox, and eventually expanded to two. Then, at Google I/O 2018, an additional half-dozen voices were added to the listing, followed by some other 2 more recently — British and Australian options.

Choosing between the voices used to be a picayune boring and complicated, because Google had separate interfaces for Google Assistant on the phone and Google Domicile. Thankfully, with a recent Abode app refresh for Android, all that has been simplified — the Banana voice you choose for your Home speaker is reflected on all Android phones connected to the same Google account. And there's now a handy colour-coded interface within the Domicile app to cull your favorite one.

What voices are available?

  • Red
  • Orangish
  • Amber
  • Green
  • Cyan
  • Blue
  • Purple
  • Pink
  • British Racing Greenish
  • Sydney Harbour Blueish

Hear the rainbow: Putting personality to the Google Assistant voices

How to change the Google Assistant vox on your phone

  1. Open Google Dwelling house app.
  2. Tap contour tab (fourth tab from the right).
  3. Under General settings category, tap Settings.
  4. Tap on Assistant tab to the right of Personal info.
  5. Tap on Assistant phonation.

  1. And now choose your favorite vox. I like the original "Ruby-red" vocalism.

The new voices range from soft to deep, from male to female. According to Google, other than the two original male person and female voices, all are completely reckoner-generated, but they sound amazing.

What if I want a different vocalisation on my phone than my Google Home speaker?

Unfortunately, it's non possible to have a different voice between your telephone and your Google Home — unless yous annals your Google Home devices on a different Google account. The newest voices are also limited to U.S. users at the moment, anyone who sets their Assistant's language to 'English (U.S.)'
