How To Change Name In Doki Doki

If you delete "firstrun" file in the DDLC -> Game directory, you'll be able to clear salve data and start fresh.

If you start over completely, you lot tin can. Check the game manual for instructions on how to exercise that. You'll have to delete a file manually.

Thank-you! Deleting the firstrun file worked. And so my clickin' finger got a workout catching dorsum up to where I was, hah.

Did you not figure out that if you get in the options carte du jour and click so in that location's a little X next to "Skip unseen text" or something similar that, it'll let you skip as much text as yous want no matter what? o.o

Although you lot demand to exist conscientious with it because it'll skip everything until you click to cancel it. That means you'll miss poems and stuff, because that won't appear in History. :3

Y'all can also hold control to skip text; when you think yous're a few scenes away, you lot can let go and resume transmission clicking :)

thx Eluniar

I did it a fleck longer style - due to being very far in the game.
What I did was to move my save (the actual saves are hidden in %appdata%\RenPy\DDLC-1454445547 and they are deleted later you shutdown the game, except for the one called "persistent" which seems to store everything you lot've gone through).
So I've deleted the "firstrun", and so launch the game. And so place the save back, and just load the salve.

And without having to skip through, I changed my ingame name.

can you give me a step-by-step how to do it? I've tried what y'all said, but doesn't seem to work :/

Save the game -> don't quit the game nonetheless -> go to %appdata%\RenPy\DDLC-1454445547 -> move the save file(south) to desktop (or anywhere with easy admission) -> delete the save files in the appdata folder -> restart the game -> new game -> type in new name -> quit straight after confirming your name -> move the save files back
If something didn't work and so effort with just "Persistent" or only a single separate save file -- one of the two might concord the sometime proper noun.

Save the game -> don't quit the game yet -> go to %appdata%\RenPy\DDLC-1454445547 -> move the salvage file(s) to desktop (or anywhere with easy access) -> delete the save files in the appdata folder -> restart the game -> new game -> type in new name -> quit straight later on confirming your name -> move the save files dorsum
If something didn't work then try with only "Persistent" or simply a unmarried split relieve file -- one of the two might hold the old proper noun.

what do you mean delete the saves in the appdata binder

I meant delete the Persistent file, which isn't deleted by the game, since it is necessary for the game to go along all variables, such as player's proper noun. But information technology more often than not goes by unnoticed considering information technology isn't used to load whatsoever game state.
